    • On 1871 census age 23 living with parents. Cannot find him on 1881 census but on 1891 and 1901, by now age 54 he is living in London, is a carpenter and remains single. He is a lodger in Chelsea in 1891 and in Knightsbridge in 1901. Found on the 1911 census, back in Oxfordshire living in Banbury. He has never married.
