    • According to Longworth Parish Records the baptism date is correct. However, it has her parents names as John and Eliza
      but underneath with the next record for someone unrelated the mother's name is Ellen and I believe they should be transposed. Obviously an error when copying.
    • George senior was not found on the 1901 census with Rosetta and the rest of the family. Rosetta has not been recoded as a Widow. Found a death reference for a George Howard for 1900 in Easthampstead but that is near Bracknell, which seems a bit far from home.
      Fast forward to the 1911 census and Rosetta IS recorded here as a widow but there is another child born 1902. Still cannot find a reliable death reference for George senior.
      The other striking event to note is that there is almost a 10 year gap between Alfred born 1893 and Edith born 1902. Edith could not have been George's child IF he did die in 1900.

    • There was a Louisa Barrett on 1861 census and assumed to be the daughter of John and Eleanor, Couldn't find a birth for a Louisa Barrett but found a Louisa Pryor baptised near Witney on 26 April 1850. She is most likely to be Eleanor's niece. her parents were William and Mary Ann Pryor.

      I am sure this is our Rosetta but wasn't aware she had a second name, as she is recorded as Rosetta V Howard. It might be a transcription error.
