    • There is doubt as to John's parents being John Wallinger and Hannah Stubbes. Outside chance might be his grandparents but doubtful.

      The only record of a baptism of a John Wallinger is
      29 May 1653 at Gt. Yarmouth, Norfolk, the son of John and Frances Wallinger. can't find marriage for this couple.

    • John Wallinger's wife, Elizabeth Leasher, was a widow at the time of their marriage. Her first husband, William Leasher died in a pit accident.
      Cannot find this marriage, so have no idea of Elizabeth's maiden name or birth date.

      A Transcription Error?
      FMP web site lists an Elizabeth Wallinger baptised at Burghfield on 4 Dec 1683, the same day as Susanna.
      Thinking she must have died young, hence the reuse of name with Elizabeth 1686, searched burials but found nothing.
      Tried Burghfield Parish records and there was no entry for an Elizabeth baptised 1683!
