Poors Allotment, Bagshot, Surrey, England
Tree: Main Tree
Notes:
Poors Allotment is an area that was formerly part of Windsor Park reserved for hunting on which, at Queen Victoria's request, plots were rented to villagers of Bagshot for a nominal sum on which they could build dwellings. After those people passed, the land was converted to common land and is likely to remain so because changing its status would require an Act of Parliament. This is according to Frank William Clarke, whose family have lived in College Ride (formerly Potato Row!) for hundreds of years.
