    Birth:
    The child's age on the Census return has been made illegible by the enumerators strike-through. I think the underlying number more closely resembled the other figure 3's on the page than it does the figure 8's but I could be wrong. For now I am going with a 3 even though he ranks higher on the return than his 4 year old bother. Enumerators frequently failed to rank entries correctly.
